The emphasis of our site is on providing you information about our soccer club.  Here, you'll be able to get news, information, schedules, rosters, game results, directions and much, much more. Check back frequently for the latest information about our club.

If you are not familiar with our soccer club and your first contact with us is online,we would be pleased to hear from you! Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we will be more than happy to help.  In brief, you should know the following about us: our soccer club was established in 2005, and have been responsible for providing outstanding opportunities for young soccer players in Bolingbrook, Naperville, Aurora, and Plainfield, Illinois and other surrounding areas ever since.

Many volunteers run the Deportivo Chivas Soccer Club, including the Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, and parents. They all give their time and effort to make the Deportivas Chivas Soccer Club a fun learning experience for all of the players.

The Start of a New Season

The Fall 2008 Season is upon us already. After such a wonderful spring season I know that the fall will be even better. As everyone saw at tryouts our club is growing and it is growing fast. The word is out that our club is great and many new players want to be a part of it. We welcome you all.

I am also happy to say that we have 2 all girls teams now, the U-9 and U-17 Girls. We welcome these new teams, coaches, players and families to the Deportivo Chivas. If you have any question or comments please feel free to contact myself at or Oscar at 630.234.8566 (he's easier to reach by phone ).

This week I will be starting to get all team schedules from NISL and have them correctly entered. But there are even more teams now and the work takes time. I would appreciate it if one person from every team would volunteer to email me their team's schedule as that saves much time tracking down with NISL. If you would like to enter in the schedules to our web site yourself please let me know and I will arrange for it (thankfully arrange for it ).

I would like to extend a welcome and thank you to our new Director of Field Management Heidi Shroda. She will be working with the Park District to scheduling field times and such. If there are any other parents who want to volunteer and help our great club please either contact Oscar, your team coach or myself. There is always many things that our club needs both large and small. All are important to the success of our club and volunteers are very much appreciated.

Finally please check out our club pictures, they show the how good our club really is both as players and parents. As usual more team pictures are always welcome, please email them to me and I'll get them posted. Thanks to Norma Seville, Angie Miller, Noel Yivan, Rene Galvin and others for their contributions. I have been thrilled by how much has been added this year and hope that we get even more.

U8 in Illinois State Cup

Our U8 team played in the Illinois State Cup (http://www.illinoisyouthsoccer.com/). They missed playing in the championship round by one goal.

U8 and U9 1st Place in Oswego Tournament

Congratulations to our U8 and U9 teams for taking 1st place in the Oswego tournament over the weekend. I do not have any more information about the games or score so please email them to me so that I can update everyone.
This makes 6 1st places in 3 different tournaments this season! Our kids are doing great! And so are the coaches!

U12 and U14 Take 1st Place in NSC Tournament

Congratulations to both our U12 and U14 teams for taking 1st Place in the NSC Tournament in Minnesota! Both team went undefeated through the tournament.
The U12 scores were 4-0, 11-0 and 3-3. For the final they played the same team they had tied and won a very tough game 3-2!
The U14 scores were 1-1, 4-0, 3-0. They won the elimination round 4-0 and faced a good team in the final and won 6-3.
There where many pictures taken and I'll start posting them soon.

Tryouts June 9th and June 16th

Our club will be having tryouts for all teams and ages on June 9th and 16th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. They tryouts will be at Balstrode Park in Bollingbrook - 

     Thackeray Dr. & Lily Fields Ln. Bolingbrook, IL
     Weber Rd. south to Boughton Rd to Thackeray Dr.
     Turn East 2 miles to the end of the road.

If you know anyone interested in joining our great club please let them know. If you are interested please show up and see what a great club we have!


 
Opening Ceremonies for the Fire Game

Our club participated in the opening ceremonies for the Chicago Fire game against the Colorado Rapids. Norma Sevilla and Noel Yivan have sent pictures which you can check out in our picture area. Thank You Sevilla and Noel!


 
Champaign Tournament Results

Congratulations to our U8A and U10 teams for taking 1st place in the Champaign tournament. Norma Sevilla sent pictures from the torunament (thank you!) that are now in the pictures area of our site.
I do not have information on how the other teams did. Cold someone please send those to me at so that I can post it. Thanks.
 
Upcoming Tournaments

Our U-8A, U-8B, U-9 and U-10 teams will be playing in a tournament at Champaign Il the weekend of May 3rd and 4th. Contact Oscar Becerra for details.

Our U-11, U-12 and U-14 team will be attending the NSC Cup Youth Tournament (http://www.nscsports.org/sports/soccer/tourneys/nsccup/youth.htm) in Minneapolis Minnesota on Memorial Weekend May 26th-28th. Parents if you don't have a hotel reservations please make them quickly.

I will be maintaining the Deportivo Chivas Soccer Club web site but I can not do it alone. The success of our site depends on everyone in our great club. I need the help of coaches, team managers, parents and players so that our web site will be helpful to everyone and will portray exactly what our great club is all about. If you have anything that you would like to have added to the web site please send me an email at and I will add it.

If you see anything wrong on the site or if your teams schedule needs to be updated please let me know and I will fix it. There is alot of information that is needed for our teams and would ask that one person from each team volunteer to help me keep their information current and correct.

Finally I think this site should be more than just a place to go for schedules. Please send me anything you want added, especially:
  • Game scores
  • Share stories about great games
  • Share great plays by our players
  • Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures
  • Anything else that you would like to announce
I am looking forward to working with everyone in our great club to making this site a great place to come and share our great club.
